Cocoa for Schools and Hop4Kids have spent part of the fundings for labor costs because the village cannot support labor costs for the three buildings and washrooms.
As of April 15th, 2021, we have spent $15,000 USD on one building. We have spent $500 USD on labor costs on another building, which is at the preliminary stage due to the pandemic delay.
The labor cost has increased from last year, and Hop4Kids has used our fund to cover the cost as the funds from the village are exhausted. Hop4Kids are planning to cover the additional cost if additional funding is available.
The contractors have drilled the borehole for freshwater for the schools. Once the washrooms are ready, the contractors can install the pump and the rest of the water system.
The third building will be constructed as an operational office after completing the first two buildings and washrooms.
