This person will have strong media relations, knowledge about content creation/distribution, be proficient in digital media (including paid), and work collaboratively across the broader communications team including financial communications, leadership communications, etc.

Key Responsibilities
- Work with fundraising, program manager and marketing to identify objectives for business unit; develop and execute strategic communications plans against those objectives.
- Develop programming across earned, social, owned and paid media to raise visibility of Hop4Kids with core audiences and decision-makers.
- Consistently collaborate across other key Affairs teams – including but not limited to Internal Communications, Non-Profit Financial, Communications and Government Relations – to ensure strategic integration and consistency, as well as maximize opportunities.
- Develop social media presence for business unit general manager, working directly with executive.
Time Commitment
- Flexible, we’ll work with your schedule; preferred commitment of 1 or 2 shifts (4 hours each) per week.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working across other communications channels/disciplines (e.g., media relations, digital/social media, etc.) – agency experience recommended, but not required.
- Demonstrated understanding of landscape and trends in the leadership communications space, as well as key relationships of relevance in our space.
- Proficient in digital media and content creation/distribution.
- Entrepreneurial mindset – thinks creatively and outside the box, brings outside-in thinking to every project, and always figures out a way to get things done.
