We are happy to announce that Hop4Kids has just awarded another free vehicle – Toyota Sienna, to our applicant from our Drive Forward Program, Dawson Lau.
Dawson graduated from college last year and is currently serving in the US Army Reserve and working in a non-profit organization as the logistics coordinator. When he was in school, he applied for student loans to support his tuition and educational costs. Now he has to work two jobs to pay off his debts. However, it slows down his ability to save money for getting a new car. Without a car, he has to spend approximately 2 hours commuting to work every day.
After Dawson reached out to us, we sped up the screening and donation process. Eventually, we decided to give him the Toyota Sienna, so he can save time to work and give rides to his family and coworkers.
We’re thrilled that our program is starting to get noticed, and it feels great to be able to help people in need by doing meaningful work. If you’re interested in our program and want to know more about the application process, please visit https://hop4kids.org/programs/drive-forward/.
